↳ Brazil's design market is prosperous, but the country lacks reputable events – especially in Rio de Janeiro. So this is why we create the Insert Brazil, a design conference that aims to give the participant a broad look at the multidisciplinarity of design applied to the world. The main objective is to inspire people's work and daily attitudes. In September 2012, the first edition of Insert happened in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The event was unbelievable; more than 10,000 people visited the venues in just two days. We were able to inspire professionals and students from all over Brazil, and receive feedback after the end was even better. More than designing an event like this, being able to motivate and broaden people's horizons is something unique. To this day, I receive emails from participants praising the project and thanking the opportunity to have been part of something so incredible in Rio.

How we created one of the biggest design events in Brazil from scratch.

↳ An idea that came out of the informal chats, emails, Skypes and evolved into a project that moved the lives of all involved and mobilized the national design scene.

"What matters is to do" has always been our motto, and that "an idea on paper is worthless." After attending so many meetings, congresses, conferences and seeing the lack and the opportunity for something like that, the project had to come off the paper - a large design event in Brazil. In the Rio de Janeiro! An event to call our own, to Brazil.

The event's objective was to give the participant a broad look at the multidisciplinary design applied to the world, and after having experienced it, to inspire their own work and attitudes. For this, the event had 8 national and international lectures, 2 round tables, 6 mini-cases of students and small agencies, 3 special cases, in addition to 5 workshops and a visitor's area with a stand fair, exhibitions and activities, and a mega party at the end of the first day!
